About Us
National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled, Una is rendering its service for the Persons with Disabilities since August 2005 in the State of Himachal Pradesh. At present the centre is functioning from its own building “NCSC Bhawan” located at Chanderlok Colony, Una, Himachal Pradesh since October 2022. The Centre provides career prospects, vocational guidance and counselling, registration, training & rehabilitation to increase the quality of life and bring divyangjan into the mainstream of the society.
Detail
The following services and schemes are offered to Divyangjan: -
1. Referral Services: - Case study/work, Guidance and counselling, Follow-up, Referring Divyangjan to appropriate agencies.
2. Evaluation Services: - Physical/Medical evaluation, Psychological evaluation, Socio-economic evaluation, Vocational evaluation.
3. Non-formal Training: - There are five trades in which training impart.
i) General Mechanic,
ii) Consumer Electronics,
iii) Automobile Repair
iv) Dress Making
v) Computer Application
4. Adjustment Training: - The centre provides adjustment training to Divyangjan if needed
5. Employment Assistance: - Provide assistance to Divyangjan in getting various type of employment as well self/sheltered employment.
6. Out- Reach Activities :- The Centre organizes identification and registration camps in collaboration with District/Block administration/NGOs to reach at the door step of Differently Abled (DA) in remote areas to boost CBR concept.
